Defar is an early-stage product building simpler websites for African businesses. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

What we collect

Email address — to send your discount code and launch updates
Survey responses — your interest level, budget range, pain points, and optional feedback
Source metadata — which demo you visited and how you reached our survey (e.g. from a demo page or our main site)
Subscription preference — whether you opted in to launch updates

How we use it

To send your promo code and notify you when we launch
To understand what businesses need from a website builder
To improve the product before launch

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or share it with third parties.

Data retention

We retain your information to provide early access and improve the product. You can request deletion at any time by emailing hello@defar.io — we'll remove your data within 7 days.

Third-party services

We use Supabase to store responses and Brevo to send emails. Both are GDPR-compliant processors. No other third parties receive your data.
